ITINERARY

DAY 1 - PALERMO
Arrival in Palermo, hotel check-in and welcome briefing. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walking tour: Teatro Massimo, the lively Capo Market with tastings of local street food such as arancina and the refreshing “Autista” lemonade, the Cathedral and Quattro Canti. Welcome dinner in the city center.
DAY 2 - Palermo & Monreale
Morning bus ride to Monreale to visit its splendid Norman Cathedral, world-renowned for its golden mosaics. Afternoon at leisure to continue exploring Palermo.
DAY 3 - CEFALÙ
Train ride to Cefalù, a picturesque medieval fishing town with a UNESCO-listed Norman Cathedral. Free time to enjoy the beach, shop in the old town or hike up La Rocca for panoramic views. Return to Palermo in the evening.
DAY 4 - AGRIGENTO
Scenic train journey through the Sicilian countryside to Agrigento. Afternoon guided tour of the Valley of the Temples, with highlights including the Temples of Juno, Concordia, Hercules, Castor and Pollux. Dinner overlooking the illuminated temples.
DAY 5 - Piazza Armerina & Syracuse
Departure to Syracuse with a stop at Villa Romana del Casale, a UNESCO site famous for its remarkably preserved Roman mosaics. Upon arrival in Syracuse, enjoy a walk through Ortigia, the atmospheric old town with narrow lanes, sea views and its elegant cathedral square.
DAY 6 - Sicilian Baroque
Full-day excursion to discover Sicily’s Baroque gems: Ragusa Ibla with its aristocratic palaces and domes, Modica with its Baroque architecture and traditional chocolate, and Noto, the “capital of Sicilian Baroque,” with its ornate palaces, decorated balconies and grand cathedral.
DAY 7 - Syracuse & Taormina
Morning guided visit of Syracuse Archaeological Park with its Roman amphitheater, Greek theater and the Ear of Dionysus. Scenic train ride along the coast to Taormina area. In the afternoon, guided walking tour of Taormina with breathtaking views of Mount Etna and a visit to the ancient Greek-Roman Theater.
DAY 8 - MOUNT ETNA
Board the historic Circumetnea train to circle the volcano, passing traditional villages. Continue by bus to the Silvestri Craters. Enjoy a wine and food tasting in a local winery, with the option of a jeep excursion to higher craters.
DAY 9 - ARRIVEDERCI, ITALIA!
Breakfast and departure.
