Meet & Greet Italy was built around one person: the advisor selling Italy to American clients. Not the traveler. Not the tour. The advisor. Everything we do — every operational choice, every product, every line of how we work — follows from that.

This wasn't a marketing decision.
We didn’t decide to build a company for travel advisors. We grew up inside their work — and built the company that work deserves.
A family business
Our founder grew up watching his mother run her own travel agency. For thirty years, she sold trips one client at a time — independently, on her own terms. No brand behind her. Just her name, her phone, and her clients. Every itinerary she sold was hers. Every referral she earned was earned. She didn’t have a marketing department. She had relationships.That’s the work we recognize. That’s the work an advisor does today. And that’s the work we built Meet & Greet Italy to support.
His father, in those same years, was building Viaggidea — one of Italy’s reference outbound tour operators — and serving three terms as President of the Italian Tour Operators Association. Different side of the business: he was selling the world to Italians, not Italy to the world. But it meant we grew up inside the industry from both ends — the agent who knows every client by name, and the operator who runs the machine behind.
From kitchen table to company.
Meet & Greet Italy was founded in Rome in 2015 by Edmondo, after a career as a senior executive in some of Italy’s largest travel & trasportation companies. The company brings together two things that rarely meet in this industry: the operational rigor of corporate travel management, and the instinct of someone who has been around independent agents and tour operators his entire life.
Commercial direction is led by his sister, Valentina. The Italian Travel Designers in Rome work with both of them every day. The team is small on purpose — small enough that every advisor we work with knows who is handling their request, small enough that a brief sent in the morning is on someone’s desk by lunch, small enough that nothing slips through
Two generations of professional travel taught us one thing: in this business, the advisor is the protagonist — never the supplier. Meet & Greet Italy exists to make that protagonism easier.
